HAI Online Abstract Submission Now Open

Hi Everyone

We are delighted to announce that our online abstract submission is now open.

As mentioned in previous correspondence, the deadline for abstracts will be Wednesday 7th August. Please ensure to submit your abstract on time.

Online abstract submission – important information!!!
"A change has been made to the abstract categories in order to encourage more laboratory scientists to present at the HAI annual meeting and to increase participation of laboratory scientists in the Medical & Scientific Session.

Abstracts submitted under 'Laboratory Haematology (Medical & Scientific Session)' will be considered for Oral Presentations (including President's Symposium) at both the Medical and Scientific session and the Laboratory Haematology and Transfusion session.

Abstracts submitted submitted under ' Laboratory Haematology (Laboratory Haematology and Transfusion Session only)' will only be considered for this session."

Travel Bursaries – We are delighted to announce that travel bursaries will be awarded again this year in the amount of €150.00. More information on this will follow.

Please note that our deadline date for our online abstract submission is: Wednesday 7th August. Please note that this date will not be extended. Therefore, please ensure to submit your abstract on time.
Our online abstract submission facility will be opening by 1st June and details of this will be sent in due course.

2019 Novartis Fellowship Award:
The Haematology Association of Ireland are delighted to announce that Novartis have kindly sponsored an Educational Fellowship. The award is intended as seed funding for non-tenured scientists including postdoctoral research fellows, early career scientists, clinical scientists to develop an area of basic or clinical research in a haematology related field in the island of Ireland. The award is open to both academic and hospital employees. All applicants must have a contract of employment for the period of the award. The amount of the Award is €10,000.00

The award is not suitable for post-graduate students studying for a Ph.D or M.D.

Congratulations to our 2018 Winner: Dr Mark Hughes, RCSI for his proposal entitled “Exploring the immunomodulatory roles of the anticoagulant enzyme Activated Protein C for the treatment of inflammatory disease”

€105 per single room to include Bed & Breakfast

Friday 11th October:

Our cancellation policy is 2 full days prior prior to arrival; late cancellations or failure to arrive as booked would result in a late cancellation fee equal to the first night's rate per room reserved. Our check in time is from 4.00 p.m. onwards with a check out time of 12 noon
Individual cancellations
*Once all rooms are named, the individual room cancellation is as follows: our cancellation policy is 48 hours before the date of arrival, any cancellations occur within the 48 hours will be charged the 1st nights accommodation rate, the cancellation fee will be applied to whatever method of payment was used to guarantee the booking
