The Academy’s Transfusion & Transplantation Science Advisory Body Workshop will take place on Wednesday 24th May in St. Laurence's Church at the new Grangegorman DIT campus.

The theme of this workshop is "What's in the Bag?" We will showcase lectures on all blood components, the red cell storage lesion: new v old red cells and what recent RTCs have concluded, the New Medical & Scientific Director, Dr Stephen Fields, will present on blood collection in developed and developing country.

Our interactive workshop session will feature case studies from blood transfusion protocols pre and post Bone Marrow Transplant engraftment to blood provision in an emergency situation; from rare red cell provision to neonatal ECMO requirements and implications of CPD v SAGM..... and many more.
